HYPNOSIS / HYPNOTHERAPY
The cornerstone of our alternative medicine practice is hypnotherapy. We believe hypnosis, guided meditation and hypnotherapy are the most beneficial and healing of our holistic services.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, it occurs naturally when you're first awake, falling asleep, watching TV, and many activities where you are totally focused and relaxed. The use of guided meditation is the most effective technique to help ease one into a hypnotic trance.
Hypnotherapy is interactive. During sessions, one speaks to the hypnotherapist while in a hypnotic trance. This has been studied and is widely considered one of the quickest ways to bring about positive change.
According to American Health Magazine:
Psychoanalysis 38% recovery after 600 sessions
Behavior Therapy 72% recovery after 22 sessions
Hypnotherapy 92% recovery after 6 sessions

BODYTALK

BodyTalk is an energetic healing modality that focuses on the whole person. As such, the person’s lifestyle, genetics and history are all integrated within the session to bring about balance. During a session, the practitioner facilitates communication with the innate wisdom of the body by using neuromuscular feedback. By following a comprehensive protocol of questions, the person’s body guides the practitioner to identify the priority imbalances for that day. Tapping is then done to rectify these imbalances. Each session builds on the previous one. Sessions can be done on babies to the elderly.
REIKI
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction, relaxation, and healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive and that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being.

HOMEOPATHY

Homeopathy views disease as an imbalance in a person's "vital force" and the disease's symptoms are the body's best attempt to re-balance itself. Rather than eradicating symptoms as Western (allopathic) Medicine does, homeopathy addresses the underlying imbalance. These alternative remedies are made from plants, minerals, animals or even allopathic drugs such as penicillin. However, unlike allopathic drugs, they are diluted to such a degree that most doses are non-material. They are sold over-the-counter in many health food stores and some pharmacies and are FDA approved.
TAI CHI
Tai Chi is a type of martial art very well known for its defense techniques and health benefits. The martial art has evolved over the years into an effective means of alleviating stress and anxiety. It has been considered to be a form of 'meditation in motion' which promotes serenity and inner peace.
MASSAGE
Massage is a form of manual therapy that includes holding, moving, and applying pressure to the muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia administered after a thorough assessment/evaluation by the massage therapist with specific outcomes being the basis for treatment.
ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture is the stimulation of specific acupuncture points along the skin of the body involving various methods such as penetration by thin needles, heat, pressure, or laser light. The purpose of the practice is to clear energy blockages and encourage the normal flow of the qi through the individual. Though acupuncture aims to treat a range of conditions, it is most commonly used for pain relief.
YOGA
Yoga is a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation. The word "yoga" comes from the Sanskrit root "yuj", which means "to yoke" the spirit and physical body together. Modified to suit all levels of fitness, yoga has been proven to lower blood pressure and increase flexibility and strengthen the body.
